Where To Find A English To French Translation Site?

Do you have any English to French translation site or sites to recommend? I need to send out emails and cards to French speaking friends and clients for my business and personal needs.

But I don’t have a big budget set for these tasks and most online free translators I’ve tried do not serve me well. Are there any other English to French translation site I can outsource my translation work cost-effectively?

Thanks for your message. I’m glad you see the difference between human translation and machine translation. On-going professional translation jobs do involve a certain level of investment just like many other aspects of your business.

It would be nice to run a successful business without investment, but in reality it just doesn’t happen that way.

Having said that I do believe there are cost-effective ways to outsource your translation work. I’m not aware of any exclusive English to French translation site, but there are plenty of places to get your translation projects done online.

Other than some major freelance websites such as guru.com and elance.com, translatorscafe.com seems to target only translation projects. Naturally that would be one of your options.

But on these sites, you often have to post your job request and wait for translators to bid for your project. Once you’ve picked the winner, it’s up to you and the chosen translator to figure out the details such as payment method and delivery time etc.

You can narrow your search by giving out particular instructions. For example, you can ask the translator to be a native French speaker or to have a background in a certain business etc.

Most job posters also list how much they are willing to pay for a project. So you’ll have a good level of control as a buyer. But it does take a big time. For smaller jobs such as yours, you might just feel overwhelmed by the process.

Another alternative for an English to French translation site is a micro job site . In the past couple years, micro job sites have been growing rapidly. These sites often handle smaller projects ranging from $2 to $2000 each.
